 After we bought some hot chips at the take away store nearby, we rode our bikes down the beach for a while. on the hard, damp part of the sand. While we were sitting on the beach' just chatting it suddenly dawned on us that all the way back. we would be riding into the strong wind. When we finally made it back home, we were both totally exhausted! But we learned some good lessons that day

There are three big temples, the Brahmana. Syiwa. and Wisnu temples. They are really amazing. We visited only Brahma and Syiwa temples, because. Wisnu temple was being renovated. On Friday morning, we went to Kraton Jogja. We spent about two hours there. We were lucky because we were led by a smart and friendly guide. Then we continued our journey to Borobudur. Last Saturday my family and  I went to mount Bromo, we stayed at Nisa and Ahmad's house at Cemara Lawang, Probolinggo. It  has a big garden with lots of colorfull owers and a fis pond.

On Sunday Nisa and I saw Gunung Batok and went on the scenic ride on horse back. It was scary. Then we went to get closer look at the mountain. We took pictures of the beautiful sceneries there. 

The next morning went to the zoo at Wonokromo, we saw cockatoos having a shower in the afternoon we went home. It was fun. I hope I can go back there one day.

A Trip to Snow Mountains


When my family was living in Sydney we used to go to a place called Snow Mountains because Sydney never has snow in winter. Well the weather can get very, very cold, and the temperature could and could go as minus 5 degrees celcius, but it never snows. That was the reason why we liked going to Snow Mountains.

Our first trip to Snow Mountains was very exciting. We went with a group of foreign students from different part so f the world. We went by bus to Canberra, and then we went up to the mountain. And believe me, you need to be an expert driver because the road was rough and wet.  We had to go very slowly and cautiously.

Luckily, our driver was a real professional. He did a great job taking us to the mountains but I saw many good cars sliding off the roads. The police were made busy by those accidents but the police seemed to have anticipated the situations. They had all kinds of equipment to help the poor cars.

When we reached the resort area, a nice warm meal was waiting in a nice and warm dining room. It was a relief. Then, we had to hire the Snow-Mountain gear like caps,   scarvest, hick jackets and snow boots. We simply had to do that or we would have been freezing to death. I felt really big and fat in that outfit and I had to learn how to walk in snow. 

The most exciting part was the toboggan ride. Toboggan is basically a fiber glass board designed to slide down the snowy slopes. So I climbed up the hill, and then I sat down on the toboggan. I held o n to ropes used to steer and slide down the hill. It turned. out that my steering ropes weren’t tied on correctly, so I could not control my toboggan properly. I slid down really fast without being able to control where I was going. So I ended up plugging into a freezing cold creek!

The hotel was a well-known four-star hotel. The room had perfect view of the park. The room had its own bathroom and toilet. Instead of keys for the room, they inserted a key-card to open the door. On the third floor, there was a restaurant serving Asian and European food. They had variety of food.

The two-week vacation in London went fast. At the end of the 14th day, they were quite tired but they felt very happy.

There were also a trash and treasure stall where they sold toys. The school got these things by asking the children to bring them in.

An excursion to Bogor  Botanic Garden


On Friday 16th March, we went to Bogor Botanic Garden. We went there by bus. At 10.00 we arrived at the Famous farm.

After we arrived at the garden, we were devided into two groups. Group A followed Mrs. Nina and group B followed Mr. Ahmad. I was in group A. First, we went to the odd tropical forest and Mrs. Nina read us some of the  information. Then, we looked at all the lovely plants. After that we went to a little spot, near the Raffles’ cemetery, and had morning tea.

Next, we did sketching and then we met Group B at the information centre to have our lunch. Soon, it was time for us to go to the orchid section while Group B did some research on flowers. 

Lady led us to the orchid section. Then, she explained what we were going to do. Next, we had a look at the Indonesian orchid. Later, we took a look at the American, European and Asian Orchid section. It was interesting.

Soon after we had finished, we went back outside and met Group B. Then, we got on the bus and returned to school.
