Nusa Tenggara
Nusa Tenggara is the name for the chain of islands which lies to the east of Bali. Including the islands of Komodo, Lombok, Flores and Timor, Nusa Tenggara spans a variety of landscapes, from tropical forests, high volcanic lakes and dry savannahs. The largest islands are Lombok and Sumbawa, with hundreds of smaller islands between.
East Nusa Tenggara has 566 islands. The long northern arch of the island chain is the result of volcanic activity, whilst the southern islands are formed from coral deposits. Most of the eastern islands are arid, due to hot winds blowing from the continent of Australia and sparsely vegetated. The Western half of Nusa Tenggara is moister and has denser vegetation. The Northern part of the chain is known for deep lakes contained in the craters of extinct volcanoes, the most famous of which are the coloured mineral lakes on Gunung Keli Mutu in Flores

Tongues of ice, called glaciers, stretch out into the open waters of the oceans. The sea water melts the bottom parts of these glaciers, then the top part slides into the water with a mighty roar. The great piece of ice sinks for a short time beneath the surface, then it rises again, and floats away as a new iceberg. Some icebergs are miles across to begin with, and travel for thousands of miles and several years before they finally melt. The part of an iceberg which can be seen above the water is only about one-ninth of the total size. The rest is hidden beneath the water. FISH
Fish come in an amzing variety of shapes and colours, but they all have three things in common. All fish live in water, have fins, and use gills to get oxygen from the water.
A female fish releases eggs in water. This process is called spawning. However, there are also some fish, like sharps and dolphins, which give birth to live young.
Fish eggs range in size from a barely visible dot to a size of a pea. Fish eggs may hatch within several days of spawning or many weeks later, depending on the species and the water temperature.
Fish have the same five senses humans have: sight, hearing, touch, smell and taste. They use their senses to look for food, avoid predators, find a partner to spawn with, and find their way around their habitat. Fish can also differentiate colour, just as people do.
