Macam-macam Laporan dan cara membuatnya

Laporan adalah bentuk penyajian fakta mengenai suatu berita, kegiatan, peristiwa, perjalanan, penelitian dan sejenisnya yang disampaikan secara objektif.

Jenis-jenis Laporan

a. Laporan Kegiatan

Laporan kegiatan adalah penyajian fakta berbentuk kegiatan atau aktivitas yang telah dilaksanakan.

Kunci:

• Ada kegiatan atau aktivitas.

• Nama jenis kegiatan.

• Waktu dan tempat kegiatan.

• Pelaksana kegiatan.

Contoh:

Di musim kemarau seperti sekarang ini, para petani di Desa Larangan, Brebes, Jawa tengah sibuk bertani bawang merah. Sawah yang tadinya ditanami padi, kini berganti ditanami bawang merah. Tanah sawah yang sudah mulai mengering  dibuat gundukan dan parit melingkar untuk aliran air. Bibit bawang merah ditanam ditanah gundukan berukuran lebih kurang satu kali enam meter persegi panjang.  Setiap hari para petani menyirami tanaman bawang merah dengan harapan hasilnya dapat diandalkan.

b. Laporan Peristiwa atau Kejadian

Laporan peristiwa adalah penyajian fakta berbentuk peristiwa yang benar-benar terjadi.

Kunci:

• Ada peristiwa atau kejadian.

• Ada yang terlibat.

• Waktu dan tempat peristiwa.

• Proses terjadinya peristiwa.

Contoh:

Serangan sporadis mewarnai pelaksanaan pemilihan umum di Afghanistan, 20 Agustus 2009. Sejumlah kekerasan dilaporkan di antaranya terjadi di tempat pemungutan suara di Kota Kandahar dan Ibukota Kabul. Serangan militan juga terjadi di Provinsi Baghlan. Para terorisme menyerang dari berbagai arah. Baku tembak terjadi sejak pagi. Namun, sore hari musuh dapat didesak mundur. “Kami berhasil menewaskan 22 teroris” ujar Muhamad Kabir Andarabi, Kepala Kepolisian Provinsi Baghlan (Media Indonesia, 21 Agustus 2009).

c. Laporan Perjalanan

Laporan perjalanan adalah penyajian fakta berbentuk informasi tentang

perjalanan yang dilakukan oleh seseorang atau kelompok orang.

Kunci:

• Seseorang atau kelompok yang melakunan perjalanan.

• Proses perjalanan.

• Ada Informasi selama dalam perjalanan.

Contoh:

Setelah melihat-lihat keindahan alam di Brastagi, saya dan rombongan melanjutkan perjalanan ke Parapat untuk menyaksikan Danau Toba. Sungguh luar biasa indah pemandangan Danau Toba. Namun, sangat disayangkan keindahan Danau Toba yang begitu menawan tidak didukung sarana dan prasarana yang memadai. Kapal yang digunakan terkesan apa adanya. Menurut informasi yang saya terima ternyata masyarakat di sekitar Danau Toba dan Pulau Samosir tidak mau menerima investasi asing. Mereka menginginkan Danau Toba tetap alami.

Setelah Satu hari berkeliling di Danau Toba dan Pulau Samosir, saya dan rombongan melanjutkan perjalanan ke Kota Medan untuk melihat Istana Maimoen. Istana Maimoen juga kurang terawat dengan baik. Tampaknya, Pemerintah Sumatera Utara masih kurang peduli terhadap perkembangan dunia pariwisata.

Tak terasa waktu sudah semakin sore. Saya dan rombongan segera meluncur ke Bandara Polonia untuk melanjutkan perjalanan pulang ke Jakarta.

Pesawat yang kami gunakan adalah Batavia Air. Kami baru tiba di Jakarta pada pukul 22.30 karena keberangkatan pesawat tertunda hampir dua jam. Namun, alhamdulillah kami selamat tiba di Jakarta.

d. Laporan Hasil Wawancara

Laporan hasil wawancara adalah laporan yang menjelaskan informasi tentang hasil wawancara dari narasumber.

Kunci:

• Ada narasumber dan pewawancara

• Ada simpulan jawaban hasil wawancara

Contoh:

Dari hasil wawancara dengan  mantan Mendikbud tentang  pelaksanaan praktik kerja industri  siswa SMK  dapat disimpulkan  bahwa pelaksanaan prakerin selama ini sudah cukup baik.  Akan tetapi,  masih bisa ditingkatkan lagi. Misalnya, dengan menjalin  kerja sama antara sekolah dan DU/DI .  Pihak sekolah dapat meminta bantuan DU/DI untuk mengadakan validasi kurikulum.  Dalam hal ini,  kompetensi yang dibutuhkan oleh DU/DI sudah  dipersiapkan  terlebih dahulu secara matang di sekolah. Dengan demikian,  akan terjadi keterkaitan dan kesepadanan  antara  kebutuhan sekolah dan kebutuhan DU/DI.

e. Laporan  Diskusi

Laporan diskusi adalah laporan yang menjelaskan informasi tentang hasil diskusi. Laporan diskusi biasanya dalam bentuk notula atau notulen.

Kunci:

• Ada kegiatan diskusi

• Ada topik dan tujuan diskusi

• Ada rumusan hasil diskusi

Contoh:

Tema diskusi : Kebersihan kelas

Hari, tgl.    : Selasa, 4 Agustus 2009

Tujuan : Menanggulangi  masalah kebersihan kelas

Permasalahan

(1) Tidak semua siswa memiliki kesadaran membuang sampah di tempat yang telah disediakan.

(2) Petugas 7 K belum berjalan sesuai fungsinya.

Pemecahan Masalah

(1) Untuk mengatasi kebersihan kelas diperlukan kesadaran para siswa  membuah sampah pada tempatnya.

(2) Diperlukan bimbingan dan pengawasan dari guru untuk mengefektifkan pelaksanaan 7 K.

(3) Siswa yang membuang sampah tidak pada tempatnya harus dikenai sanksi yang bersifat mendidik.

(4) Diperlukan figur pengurus kelas yang berwibawa, tegas, dan peduli untuk menegakkan pelaksanaan 7 K.

f.   Laporan Buku atau Resensi

Laparan buku adalah laporan yang menjelaskan tentang baik atau buruknya sebuah buku namun tidak bersifat menghakimi seperti kritik. Dalam laporan ini penulis boleh mengutip beberapa bagian dari buku tersebut sebagai penguat atas pendapatnya.

Kunci:

(1) Ada buku yang diresensi

(2) Mengemukakan isi buku secara objektif

(3) Memberi komentar terhadap isi buku tersebut.

Contoh:

Di dalam buku ini dijelaskan berbagai pendapat tentang senyum, “Apa Kata Mereka Tentang Senyum.”  Senyum bagaikan sihir karena senyum dapat menanamkan rasa optimis di dalam jiwa, menyingkirkan kegelisahan, menyusupkan kebahagiaan dan menyegarkan jiwa. Hikmah Thailand mengemukakan bahwa senyum adalah jalan pintas bagimu untuk sampai lubuk hati orang lain. Sementara itu William S. berpendapat bahwa “Lebih baik engkau menembus jalan dengan senyuman daripada engkau menembuskannya dengan pedang”  (hlm. 21).

Semakin banyak pendapat tentang senyum semakin lengkap pula penjelasan tentang senyum itu sendiri.  Mungkin itu pendapat penulis buku ini. Namun, sangat disayangkan pendapat tentang senyum ini terlalu banyak mewarnai buku ini bahkan lebih dari setengah dari buku (hlm. 21 - 83) sehingga agak sedikit membosankan. Akan tetapi, karena bahasanya tidak berbelit-belit dan lugas maka buku ini tetap enak untuk dibaca. Selain itu, orang yang membaca buku ini tentu akan wawas diri.

g. Laporan Penelitian

Laporan penelitian adalah laporan yang menjelaskan tentang hasil penelitian, baik yang berbentuk pengamatan, percobaan di laboratorium maupun studi pustaka. Sistematika laporan penelitian umumnya berbentuk seperti berikut:

(3)   Abstrak

(4)   kata pengantar

(5)   daftar isi

(6)   pendahuluan

(7)   kerangka teoritis

(8)   metode penelitian

(9)   pembahasan

(10)   simpulan dan saran

Sistematika laporan di atas secara lengkap diuraikan sebagai berikut:

(1)   Halaman sampul (cover)

Halaman sampul sekurang-kurangnya memuat judul laporan, identitas penyusun, identitas lembaga (sekolah), dan tahun penyusunan.

(2)   Halaman judul

Isi halaman judul juga tidak jauh berbeda dengan halaman sampul. Halaman judul diletakkan di bagian dalam, setelah halaman sampul.

(3)   Kata Pengantar

Kata pengantar umumnya berisi:

(a) ucapan syukur karena laporan telah selesai dibuat;

(b) penjelasan tentang tujuan menyusun laporan;

(c) penjelasan tentang hambatan yang dialami penyusun;

(d) ucapan terima kasih kepada pembimbing;

(e) permohonan kritik dan saran yang bersifat konstruktif.

(4)   Abstrak

Abstrak adalah ringkasan seluruh bagian yang ada dalam laporan. Abstrak ditulis dalam bentuk esai yang terdiri atas beberapa paragraf yang merupakan intisari sebuah laporan.

(5)   Daftar Isi

Daftar isi merupakan penyajian dari seluruh bagian laporan. Daftar isi berfungsi untuk memudahkan pembaca mencari judul bab atau subjudul.

Dari halaman sampul sampai dafar isi ditulis dengan huruf Romawi kecil (i, ii, iii dan seterusnya) sedangkan dari pendahuluan sampai halaman terakhir menggunakan angka Arab (1,2, 3 dan seterusnya).

(6)  Pendahuluan

Pendahuluan adalah gambaran umum dari keseluruhan isi laporan (penelitian). Bagian ini mencakup:

(a) Latar belakang

(b) Perumusan masalah

(c) Tujuan penelitian

(d) Manfaat atau kegunaan penelitian

(e) Sistematika penulisan

(7)  Kerangka Teoritis

Kerangka teoritis atau telaah kepustakaan berisi uraian tentang hasil telaahan terhadap teori (di dalam buku) dan hasil-hasil penelitiaan yang telah ada dan relevan dengan penelitian tersebut.

Di dalam kerangka teori atau bagian laporan yang lain, tedapat teori atau pendapat yang dikutip dari buku atau karangan orang lain. Kutipan ini harus dibuatkan catatan perut atau catatan kaki.

Contoh catatan perut:

“Seorang pemimpin harus bertindak sebagai pendidik, bapak, dan pemimpin itu sendiri” (Joewono, 2009: 26).

(8)  Metode Penelitian

Metode adalah prosedur atau tata cara yang ditempuh dalam mencapai tujuan tertentu, sedangkan teknik adalah cara spesifik yang digunakan untuk menyelesaikan suatu masalah dalam melaksanakan prosedur, misalnya teknik pengukuran, teknik analisis data, dan sebagainya.

(9)  Pembahasan Hasil Penelitian

Pembahasalan hasil penelitan berisi pengolahan data hasil penelitian. Data dapat disajikan secara verbal maupun bentuk nonverbal seperti grafik dan tabel.

(10)  Simpulan dan Saran

Simpulan merupakan inti dari hasil penelitian. Simpulan dapat dirumuskan dalam bentuk esai dan dapat pula ditulis dengan cara butir per butir. Simpulan dapat berbentuk inferensi (simpulan berdasarkan referensi) dan dapat pula berbentuk implikasi (melibatkan data secara langsung).

Saran atau rekomendasi ditujukan kepada para pembuat kebijakan dan kepada pihak-pihak terkait dengan hasil penelitian.

Daftar pustaka atau bibliografi adalah daftar buku atau karangan yang dijadikan rujukan dari sebuah karangan atau tulisan.

Karangan Deskripsi

Karangan deskripsi adalah karangan yang bertujuan untuk memberikan gambaran sesuatu kepada pembaca sehingga pembaca seolah-olah melihat sendiri objek yag dideskripsikan.

Kunci:

• Menggambarkan keadaan/sesuatu.

• Objek yang dideskripsikan dapat berupa keindahan alam, keindahan jasmani, watak, atau objek tertentu yang dapat diserap pancaindra.

Contoh:

Dilihat dari penampilannya, bunga rosela termasuk kategori tanaman hias. Warnanya merah segar bak warna buah mahkota dewa yang sudah matang. Bentuknya saja yang berbeda. Jika bunga mahkota dewa berbentuk bulat dan keras maka bunga rosela dapat mekar seperti bunga cempaka. Ranting bunga rosela ini panjang-panjang seperti ranting pohon kopi. Hampir di sepanjang rantingnya berisi  bunga berjajar. Sungguh taman kita akan menjadi lebih indah bila dihiasi dengan bunga rosela.

Karangan Eksposisi

Karangan eksposisi adalah karangan yang bertujuan untuk memaparkan atau

menjelaskan suatu hal atau objek.

Kunci:

• Umumnya berupa ciri-ciri atau identifikasi suatu objek.

• Menggunakan contoh, grafik, dan sejenisnya dengan tujuan menjelaskan kepada pembaca.

Contoh:

Dunia fotografi kini semakin diminati masyarakat. Untuk itu wajarlah jika kita dengan mudah dapat melihat pameran fotografi, baik yang berskala kecil maupun besar. Di Taman Impian Jaya Ancol, misalnya. Selama 24 Oktober  sampai dengan 15 November 2009 akan diselenggarakan pameran fotografi bertema “Urbantopia”. Oleh karena itu, fotografi yang dipamerkan berkaitan dengan bagaimana cara pandang para fotografer dalam melihat masyarakat dan budaya urban saat ini. Semua itu dikemas dalam bentuk foto-foto jurnalistik, salon, periklanan, dan sebagainya.

Karangan Argumentasi

Karangan argementasi adalah karangan yang bertujuan untuk mempengaruhi pembaca.

Kunci:

• Memberikan alasan yang kuat dan meyakinkan.

• Menggunakan contoh, grafik, dan sejenisnya dengan tujuan mempengaruhi  pembaca.

Contoh:

Sudah waktunya kini Indonesia harus memiliki undang-undang tentang kesehatan yang berkaitan dengan penanggulangan HIV/AIDS. Setidaknya perlu ada UU tentang Narkoba untuk mengurangi pemakaian jarum suntik bergantian yang merupakan jalan penularan virus HIV. Peran media massa dan swasta dalam memberikan informasi tentang bahaya virus yang menyerang  kekebalan tubuh ini juga sangat penting. Jangan menganggap remeh hal ini. Dari hasil penelitian, jumlah mereka yang positif terinfeksi HIV yang sekarang populer disebut dengan ODHA sudah mencapai lebih dari 130.000 orang yang menyebar di berbagai kota di Idonesia.

Langkah-langkah Mengarang

Langkah-langkah mengarang untuk semua jenis karangan pada prinsipnya sama, yakni:

(1) menetapkan tema;

(2) merumuskan tujuan;

(3) mengumpulkan bahan;

(4) menyiapkan/membuat kerangka tulisan; dan

(5) mengembangkan kerangka tulisan menjadi karangan.

(7) menetapkan judul

Contoh:

(1) Tema

Peranan tata tertib sekolah.

(2) Tujuan

Memengaruhi semua warga sekolah agar melaksanakan tata tertib sekolah.

(3) Bahan

a. Informasi dari buku, majalah, dan koran.

b. Hasil wawancara dengan kepala sekolah, pembina OSIS, dan pengurus OSIS.

c. Hasil pengamatan langsung di sekolah.

(4) Kerangka karangan

Tema : peranan tata tertib sekolah

Paragraf 1

PU :  tata tertib sekolah yang baik

PP1 :  tata tertib sekolah dibuat secara bersama-sama

PP2 :  kesadaran warga sekolah untuk menegakkan tata tertib

PP3 :  konsisten dalam menegakkan tata tertib

Paragraf 2

PU       : hambatan melaksanakan tata tertib

PP1     : kurangnya unsur keteladanan

PP2     : ... dan seterusnya.

(5) Pengembangan kerangka karangan (Contoh paragraf 1)

Tata tertib sekolah yang baik harus mampu mengatur semua kegiatan di sekolah. Agar ada rasa memiliki, tata tertib sekolah harus dibuat secara bersama-sama oleh seluruh warga sekolah. Semua warga sekolah, baik guru, siswa, karyawan TU maupun pembantu pelaksana dituntut kesadarannya untuk menegakkan tata tertib sekolah yang telah dibuatnya. Apabila semua warga sekolah konsisten dalam menegakkan tata tertib maka kegiatan sekolah akan berjalan lancar, tertib, dan baik.

Karangan Narasi

Karangan Narasi

Narasi adalah wacana atau karangan yang menceritakan suatu peristiwa atau kejadian sehingga pembaca seolah-olah mengalami sendiri peristiwa yang diceritakan itu.

Kunci:

• Ada urutan peristiwa atau kejadian/jalan cerita (plot).

• Ada tokoh-tokoh/ subjek

• Ada latar/seting (tempat, waktu, dan suasana).

Jenis Narasi

(a) Narasi fiktif, yakni narasi yang bersifat imajinatif. Narasi semacam ini disebut narasi sugestif. Contoh: cerpen, roman, dan novel.

Kunci:

• Bahasa cenderung figuratif dan konotatif;

• Menggugah imajinasi;

• Menyampaikan amanat secara tersirat.

Contoh:

Beberapa detik dia masih bersandar pada pintu dan menyalakan sebatang rokok. Di atas tempat tidur sebelah kanan ada dua selimut yang agak bersih dan tampaknya kasur jerami baru diisi. Di sebelah kiri ada sebuah meja cucu: kerannya masih baik, tetapi sumbatnya tidak ada lagi. Kaleng di sebelahnya sudah dibersihkan dengan karbol sehingga tidak berbau. Tembok batu sebelah-menyebelah dibuat begitu kuat supaya jangan kedengaran ketokan dari luar tetapi bagian-bagian terobosan pipa-pipa pemanas dan selokan hanya didempul, sehingga suara menggema juga. Lagi pula pipa pemanas itu sendiri rupa-rupanya memang turut juga menyalurkan suara. Jendela dibuat kira-kira setinggi mata.

(b) Narasi nonfiktif, yakni narasi yang mengisahkan peristiwa-peristiwa faktual yang benar-benar terjadi. Narasi semacam ini disebut narasi ekspositoris. Contoh: biografi, autobiografi, laporan perjalanan, dan sebagainya.

Kunci:

• Bahasa cenderung informatif dan denotatif;

• Menggugah penalaran;

• Menyampaikan informasi untuk memperluas wawasan.

Contoh:

Chairil Anwar dilahirkan di Medan, 26 Juli 1922 dan meninggal di Jakarta, 28 April 1949. Ia adalah seorang penyair terkenal yang dikenal dengan julukan “Si Binatang Jalang.” Bersama dengan Asrusl Sani dan Rivai Apin, ia dinobatkan oleh H.B. Jassin sebagai Pelopor Angkatan ‘45 dan Puisi Modern Indonesia.

Chairil Anwar meninggal dalam usia yang masih sangat muda karena penyakit TBC. Ia dimakamkan di TPU Karet Bivak, Jakarta. Makamnya diziarahi oleh ribuan pengagumnya dari zaman ke zaman. Hari meninggalnya juga selalu diperingati sebagai  Hari Chairil Anwar (Biografi Chairil Anwar).

While still a student, he was appointed assistant at the laboratory of physiology. Graduating from STOVIA, Abdulrachman Saleh continued his work at the lab while having his own medical practice.

Abdulrachman Saleh’s role in medicine was significant. He became a lecturer in Jakarta, Surabaya, Malang, and Klaten. For his meritorious service in medicine, specifically in physiology, in 1958, the University of Indonesia bestowed him the title of Bapak Ilmu Faal (Father of Physiology).

Abdulrachman Saleh was a man of many interests. He was involved in youth organizations like Boy Scouts and Indonesia Muda. He was also a member of Aeroclub, and co-founded theVerenigde Oosterse Radio Omroep (VORO), an organization of broadcasters. It was he who established the Voice of Free Indonesia, the radio station which spread the proclamation of Indonesia’s independence to the world.

I am writing to bring to your attention a serious issue I had in your establement last week. I ordered a vegetarian bean burrito and halfway through my meal, I bit into turned out to be a chicken bone.

Am a vegetarian and the presence of bone on my burrito was jarring. I showed the bone to the staff, who offered to make me new burrito with the same beans which included the bone. I did not want to risk eating any meat or finding another bone, so I asked for taco salad instead

I am a regular customer at your restaurant and I have never had any problems with your food in the past. While a am relatively certain this was a one-off, I am still concerned about how bones got into beans. I would like to know how this could have happened.

I am also concerned with the lack of understanding I received from the staff member who helped me. I don’t know if she was working alone or merely misunderstood my request, but she refused to let me speak to her supervisor while I was in the restaurant. I felt she acted very unprofessionally.
